Assist approvals: auto vs manual

Choose the right control level for quality without friction.

Approvals (how it works)

Assists do not support auto‑approve. Outcomes are granted after a Reviewer approves the step. Perks can be set to auto‑approve when low‑risk (e.g., link‑based delivery) or require an individual approval for higher‑value/receipt perks.

Reviewer system

Each Assist can have a dedicated Reviewer (or team) — ideally the person most interested in the outcome. For example:

  • Sales Assists → route to a Sales manager who verifies “meeting booked.”
  • HR Assists → route to HR who confirms “candidate passed screening” or “hired.”
  • Marketing Assists → route to a brand/comms owner who checks tone and compliance.

Assigning a specific reviewer to each Assist ensures the right owner sees requests, and decisions are faster because context is obvious. You can also add a fallback reviewer for coverage.

Perks vs outcomes

Participation is recorded automatically, and outcome points are awarded after a Reviewer approves. Auto‑approve is available for Perks only; use it for low‑risk link‑based perks and require approval for higher‑value or expense‑based perks.

Tips

  • Use auto‑approve only for Perks where risk is low; keep outcomes reviewed
  • Keep queues small and add a fallback reviewer
  • Use short checklists to make approvals consistent and fast
