# Auto-Approvals in TeamWins
Auto-approvals live in Settings → Workspace → Advanced under Approvals & Automation. The toggles there let you decide whether contribution outcomes or perk claims land in a reviewer’s queue — or go straight through.

What You Can Automate
Outcome Approvals (Assist Steps)
Turn this on if you’re comfortable awarding outcome points without a manual check-in. Leave it off when you want Reviewers to validate meetings, hires, or other goal-line results.
Perk Approvals
Use auto-approve for low-risk perks (e.g., digital codes, small treats) so people get rewards instantly. Keep manual review for anything that needs receipts, policy checks, or budget oversight.
---
How to Configure
1. Open Settings → Workspace → Advanced. 2. In Approvals & Automation, flip the switches for: - Auto-approve outcomes - Auto-approve perks 3. Head to Admin → Perks if you want finer control. - Each tier shows whether it inherits the workspace default or uses its own rule. - Set high-value perks to “Always Manual.” - Set everyday perks to “Always Auto.”
---
Staying in Control
- The Approvals page still logs everything, so auto-approved items show up with timestamps and status updates for easy auditing.
- Reviewers receive FYI notifications when auto-approve is enabled, keeping them aware of what’s happening even when no action is required.
- If the queue starts backing up, consider enabling auto-approve for your safest items or adding more reviewers.
- If quality slips, tighten the settings and require manual review again.
---
Good Practices
- Start conservative — observe the volume and quality of submissions, then dial up automation where it clearly saves time.
- Pair auto-approve with clear perk descriptions, spending caps, and routing rules so teammates know the boundaries.
- Review the Approvals page and analytics periodically to confirm that auto-approved outcomes still reflect real wins.

With the right mix of automation and oversight, TeamWins stays fast for contributors and trustworthy for admins.
