Quick reference for the 7 main metric cards in the Admin Insights dashboard.

Admin Insights dashboard

The Insights dashboard (Admin → Insights) gives you a real-time view of team performance. Here's what each metric card means:

The 7 metric cards

1. Total Points

  • Sum of all positive points earned across workspace
  • Subtitle shows: "+X this quarter" (current fiscal quarter)
  • Includes instant points + approved outcome points
  • Does NOT include perk redemptions (those are negative points)

Use this to: Track overall team engagement and activity levels

2. Value Generated

  • Estimated business impact in USD/EUR
  • Based on contribution outcomes × industry multiplier
  • Calculated from approved outcomes only (not pending)
  • See Understanding Value Generated for methodology

Use this to: Report ROI to leadership, justify program budget

3. Contributors

  • Number of unique team members who earned points this quarter
  • Active users only (those with at least 1 point this quarter)
  • Subtitle: "In Workspace" (total member count)

Use this to: Track adoption and participation rate

4. Total Contributions

  • Count of all submitted contributions (completed Assists)
  • All-time total, not filtered by time
  • Includes contributions with any status (pending, approved, rejected)

Use this to: Measure volume of activity

5. Marketing Post Results (conditional)

  • Only appears if you have post share contributions
  • Shows accumulated link clicks from tracked posts
  • Sourced from post engagement data

Use this to: Track social media impact

6. Perk Spending

  • Total points redeemed for perks (absolute value of negative points)
  • Shows demand for rewards
  • Compare to Total Points to see redemption rate

Use this to: Ensure perks are attractive, plan perk inventory

7. This Month

  • Points earned in current calendar month
  • Subtitle: "+X this week" (Sunday-Saturday)
  • Helps track short-term momentum

Use this to: Weekly team updates, monthly reports

Scrolling & navigation

Metric cards are horizontally scrollable on desktop:

  • Left/Right arrow buttons to navigate
  • Touch-drag on mobile/tablet
  • Smooth scroll with keyboard arrow keys

Tips for using metrics

Weekly check-in:

  • Look at "This Week" and "This Month" for momentum
  • Compare to previous weeks to spot trends
  • Celebrate wins in team meetings

Monthly reporting:

  • Value Generated for executive summary
  • Total Contributions for activity metrics
  • Contributors % for adoption tracking
  • Perk Spending to gauge engagement

Quarterly planning:

  • "This quarter" context in metric cards
  • Compare quarters to measure program growth
  • Adjust Assist offerings and point values based on data

What these metrics DON'T show

  • Individual user performance (see Top Contributors section instead)
  • Pending vs. approved breakdown (see Event Counts chart)
  • Category split (see Category Breakdown chart)
  • Time series trends (no trend charts currently)
